- Turn simple peaches into a fine-dining masterpiece that will impress every guest.
- The Flavor Profile
- The Shimmering Glaze: A professional finish of apricot jam provides a glossy shine while adding a concentrated fruit sweetness that balances the delicate pastry.
- Natural Orchard Sweetness: We rely on the deep, sun-ripened flavor of fresh peaches, which soften and caramelize slightly during baking.
- Aromatic Warmth: An optional dusting of cinnamon adds an earthy depth that perfectly complements the golden, olive-oil infused dough.
- The “BeauScott” Techniques
- The “Clever” Roll: By arranging thinly sliced peaches along a strip of dough and rolling them up, you create an intricate rose shape with almost zero effort. This is the ultimate “low-effort, high-impact” method.
- The Silk-Dough Foundation: Incorporating olive oil into the dough ensures it remains thin and delicate without tearing, while providing a gut-friendly alternative to heavy butter-based pastries.
- Instant Yeast Lift: Using a touch of instant yeast gives the pastry a light, airy quality that makes the dessert feel sophisticated and gourmet rather than heavy.
- Perfect For:
- The Impressive Host: This is your “go-to” dessert for guests when you have limited time but want to present something that looks professional.
- Healthy Sweet-Toothers: A clean-label treat that is lightly sweetened with honey and fruit rather than refined sugars.
- Budget-Friendly Entertaining: Made with basic staples like flour, milk, and seasonal fruit, this recipe proves you don’t need expensive ingredients to create a masterpiece.
- Customization & Storage
- Seasonal Variations: While peaches are the star today, this method works beautifully with thinly sliced apples or pears during the cooler months in Michigan.
- Jam Pairing: Experiment with different glazes! A raspberry jam can add a tart, vibrant red pop to your roses.
- Serving Excellence: These are best enjoyed warm from the oven, perhaps with a dollop of my homemade yogurt or ice cream on the side for a fresh, creamy contrast.

Instructions
- In a bowl, add warm milk, yeast, honey, salt, flour and mix well.
- Add olive oil and mix well
- Knead the dough by hand for about 5 minutes until the dough form smoothly into a ball.
- Drizzle some olive oil and cover it with plastic wrap and towel. put in in a warm place foe 15 minutes.
- While waiting for the dough, start thinly slicing your peaches as thin as you can.
- Prepare the muffin tray and lined with parchment paper.
- Once the dough ready, roll it out with rolling pin into rectangular shape at the thickness that you like. I like it thin.
- Then cut the dough into strips (2 inches wide)
- Then take one stripe of dough and start laying your peach slices on one side the rim of the dough, let 1/3 of the peach hanging out of the dough, and let the peach slices lay over each other until the end of the dough.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the peaches ( optional)
- Now fold the dough into half (from 2 inch wide into 1 inch) , so now the dough is cover the peach slices just like a blanket over the peaches.
- Then start rolling the dough into a ball, just like how you make cinnamon roll. try to arrange the position of the peach slices to be at the same height, so you will have a pretty rose pastry. At the end of the roll, seal the dough close smoothly.
- Now we have a peach rose ready to bake! Continue making another peach roses until finish all the dough. You should be able to make around 4-6 roses depending on the size that you make.
- In the muffin mold that already lined with parchment paper, add a drop of Apricot jam or your choice of jam.
- Put the ready to bake dough face down into the jam in muffin mold.
- Bake at preheated oven at 400F for 8 minutes , then reduce the heat to 350F and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Optional: 5 minutes before the pastry is done, add a drop of jam on top of the pasty(which is bottom side of the rose), you can skip this step if you like it not too sweet.
- Now your Peach roses pastry is ready to impress your guests. Enjoy!
